  Remarks:
  • The sea-air flux is given by co2flux_ocean. The other flux variables (co2flux_land, co2flux_subt, and co2flux_excl) are only present in the file for compatibility with the Jena atmospheric CO2 inversion.
  • The flux record of any time step denotes the surface exchange between the time of this record and the time of the next record.
  • The NetCDF file contains the full time period of the inversion, comprising not only the period of validity, but also spin-up and spin-down years to be discarded for most applications.
  • For converting the flux unit from ``per grid cell'' into ``per m2'', divide by dxyp (rather than by area).
